Silence #44: Alma Quartet (sold out)

5 May 2023

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Magical morningconcert on Liberation Day by the illustrious string quartet Alma Quartet.

Invite someone along

In the early morning the string quartet plays pieces by composers Henri Dutilleux, Claude Debussy and Joseph Haydn that mark the symbolic transition from darkness to light. By Dutilleux, the string quartet plays Ainsi la nuit, by Claude Debussy an arrangement of his famous Clair de lune and Haydn's quartet titled Sunrise (opus 76).

Music that symbolises the transition from the darkness of occupation to the light of liberation and marks the transition from the darkness of night to the light of dawn. The Alma Quartet is among today's leading string quartets and is formed by four passionate members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
