Privacy policy

The Oude Kerk considers it important that your data is handled with care and ensures that the personal information you provide to us is kept confidential.

This privacy statement applies to visitors to the Oude Kerk with an online ticket, Friends of the Oude Kerk, donors, sponsors, funds, governments and other relations of the Oude Kerk Foundation in Amsterdam.

We process your personal data for the following purposes and in the following way:

  1. Processing purchase of online ticket for the Oude Kerk (exhibition or public programme)
    To purchase an online ticket via the Oude Kerk website, we process data such as your name, address, place of residence, telephone number, email address and financial information to enable the purchase of a ticket. We use the services of third parties to process your data for the purchase of online tickets, in accordance with this privacy statement. This system is owned by a third party. Third parties hereby act as processors for the Oude Kerk. We ensure that these parties provide sufficient guarantees with regard to technical and organisational security measures. Third parties acting as processors on behalf of the Oude Kerk have entered into a processor's agreement with the Oude Kerk, which includes that they will only process personal data on behalf of the Oude Kerk.

  2. Processing friends membership Oude Kerk
    When you apply for a friends membership, your personal data are processed in our CRM system. Again, this includes data such as your name, address, place of residence, telephone number, e-mail address and financial data in order to activate a membership.

  3. Inviting receptions, public programmes or openings
    We may use processed personal data to invite you by telephone, post and/or e-mail to our exclusive receptions for relations.

  4. News from the Oude Kerk
    We may use processed personal data to keep you informed about developments at the Oude Kerk by telephone, post and/or email. This mainly applies to our newsletter which we distribute by email. The Old Church's newsletter is sent via MailChimp. The moment you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and email address are stored in the CRM on the list provided. MailChimp then loads this data from the CRM in order to send the newsletter.

  5. Special data
    If this data is shared or made public with us and contributes to efficient fundraising or relationship management, we record special personal data.

  6. Applications
    We keep the information you provide in relation to your application for a period of 4 weeks after the result of application is announced. We may request to keep your data longer. In that case we will keep your data for one year.

  7. Data processing and security
    Your (financial) data are kept in secure systems. If we need to share this data, we will ensure that relevant parties have signed a Processor Agreement in accordance with laws and regulations. Your personal data will only be stored or processed by the Oude Kerk or third parties engaged by the Oude Kerk outside the EEA if this is in accordance with applicable regulations for the transfer of personal data to countries outside the EEA. The retention period of your personal data depends on our relationship. We will keep your personal data for a minimum of seven years. Without contrary notice, we will automatically extend this period for the same period.

  8. Unsubscribing and contact
    If you no longer wish to receive a newsletter from the Oude, you can indicate this at any time via the 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom of the newsletter or send an email to info@oudekerk.nl. If you wish to remove or correct personal data in other ways please contact us at the same email address or on 020-6258284.
