On 28 June, the third of eight public circle meetings around 'doubt' will take place. In this circle together with Ben Dragstra, working at the Salvation Army, we will discuss the role of doubt in contemporary society, existence & neighbourhood through various reflections.
For this meeting on doubt, we have invited Madelinde Hageman and Narges Mohammadi to organise an afternoon on the basis of their work for 'Ode to Doubt', in which we will work with doubt together. Ode to Doubt' is a programme for education, museums and other art institutions in which doubt is approached from the perspective of art and philosophy.
The programme shows the value of doubt in the artist's process, but also in society in general. Do you have to have your opinion ready about everything or is there also room for doubt? Young people's perceptions, the artist's work and the philosopher's input are starting points for the joint creation of a work of art.
For this gathering, Hageman and Mohammadi will elaborate on the work they have previously done with secondary school students, and we will also work together on doubt.
