Morning concert by the experimental Fan Club Orchestra. FCO is developing a site-specific music performance for the Oude Kerk. They will fill the centuries-old acoustics with a mix of electronic and acoustic music.
About Fan Club Orchestra
Fan Club Orchestra (FCO) was founded in Brussels in the late 1990s and has evolved into a collective of musicians known for their free, experimental approach to music. Their improvisation-based performances are primarily influenced by the experimental spirit of New York’s Downtown scene from the 1960s. FCO blends electronics with traditional instruments, featuring Ann on guitar and bass, Zéphyr on trumpet, and Laurent on modular synthesiser and DAW.
About Silence
Silence is a series of morning concerts. On the first Friday of every month, as the city awakens, musicians explore the centuries-old acoustics of the Oude Kerk. At the heart of the Silence series is contemporary music, where acoustic, digital, and electronic sounds merge. Inspired by Sweelinck’s walking concerts centuries ago, the audience is invited to experience the music while moving through the church’s historic architecture.
