Silence #40: Vincent van Amsterdam

Renowned accordionist Vincent van Amsterdam played Bach's famous Goldberg Variations. He adapted the cycle Bach composed for harpsichord for accordion, and recorded it in 2019. The many short movements allow Van Amsterdam to exploit all the possibilities of the accordion: from whisper-soft to exuberant. The Silence concert formed an 80-minute musical journey with 32 variations on a theme.
