Solstice Day

Drop by in the early morning or late evening of the longest day to experience the sunrise or evening light in the Oude Kerk, bathed in Kimsooja's breathtaking sea of rainbow colours. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance, there is plenty of space. Standard admission prices apply.

Titular organist Matteo Imbruno starts the day at 8:00 a.m. by playing the organ. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m there will be live soundscapes by sound and word artist, Marc Alberto. Their work is known for its minimalist and deeply spiritual use of instruments, often saxophones, analogue electronics and voice. This music program is in collaboration with Red Light Arts & Culture.

Guided tours of the Oudekerkstoren are available at 6:00 and 7:00 PM.
