On Saturday evening 2 March, 2019 you can enjoy an artists talk by Esther Polak and Ivar van Bekkum. The Amsterdam artist duo PolakvanBekkum will talk about De Rit and how the video work was developed. From 25 January until 2 March 2019 the video work The Rit by PolakvanBekkum is shown in the Sint Sebastiaanskapel of the Oude Kerk.
De Rit is a novelty in the oeuvre of artist duo PolakVanBekkum. In De Rit, autobiographical events play a role for the first time. During the artist talk, Polak and van Bekkum talk about their personal colored story and use of the sound recording in combination with a recorded route.
The artist talk ends with a conversation with the audience about the work. Participants are invited to share their personal experiences about the work. If you have not seen the video yet, book your ticket here.
